Tom, unfortunately work got in the way of me coming to say my farewell tonight... I'll always think of how I looked forward to talking with you when I was dropping off or picking up at AB&T. You left way too soon, but you will be and are already sorely missed.

Tom loved all his friends unconditionally, and especially loved his family the same way.  He loved his parents, brothers...he would do anything for his kids and grandkids.  He was always devoted to Sandy-more so than ever in her final days.

I have known Tom for over 25 years-when I first met Tom we worked together.  We worked together, ate together, slept in the same room with each other-went to sleep and woke up with each other.  Boy that guy could snore up a storm, ear plugs saved me from getting no sleep.  Tom was not afraid of a hard days work.  It didn't matter if it was 8 hours or 16 hours, Saturdays, Sundays.  Tom loved the money, but it took a certain kind of dedication to work the hours that he did for the companies that he worked for.

Tom and I grew very close, we both lived in the St. Francis area.  I even lived for a time upstairs from him on Layton Avenue-he said I was the best neighbor he ever had, he never knew I was upstairs.

Our working relationship ended, but our friendship never did...we did everything together.  Hunted, fished, shot pool, etc.  

When it came to hunting and fishing, there were no limits with Tom.  Never too early, never too late, no ridge too steep to walk up, never too far to walk.  I deer hunted with him for many years, he was always all in.  Fishing as well, ice never too thin, snow never too thick, never too cold.  I used to mess with him on the ice.  I'd throw snowballs at him, make him fall, etc.  He would get so P.O'd at me, lol.   He chased me trying to get his hands on me-fortunately for me I was a little faster than he was.  

I remember once we were down at the Metro Pier in South Milwaukee.  There was a horrible thunder storm and we were pounding trout hand over fist with the storm front coming in.  A DNR warden came down and checked our licenses, and advised us to leave because of the bad storm.  We thanked him for his advice and kept fishing.  We were pounding them-we were soaking wet, thunder and lightening, yet when I looked at Tom, his hair was standing straight up, and mine was as well...didn't matter, we were catching fish!

Tom loved shooting pool-he wasn't so good years ago, he watched, learned, got beat a lot, and really learned how to play the game of pool-there are many bar plaques and trophies with Tom's name on them.  When we were out, him and I entertained many people...we bickered and argued all the time...friends told us we were like an old married couple-lol.

Tom would do anything for anyone who needed him.  I went on vacation for a week and had just planted a new garden.  We weren't getting much rain, and it was really dry.  I asked Tom if he could keep an eye on the house and water the garden, of course he was willing.

Without thinking, knowing I was going on vacation for a week, I turned the water off in the house.  So Tom comes to water the garden and turns on the hose, there is no water.  He filled 5 gallon buckets of water at home and brought them to my house and watered the garden all week while I was gone.  But I got a little earful, he would do anything for people he cared for.

Things changed for me and Tom around 2007. I moved away from the southside, bought a home, got married, things were different for me now.

I didn't see Tom hardly at all and our relationship had changed.  I work for a battery company.  Tom, 5-10 times a year, would need batteries for something where he worked.  He would call, tell me what he needed, we would chat a bit and he would tell me he would come pick up what he needed in a day or two.

He would always come in the morning.  He would bring me a cup of coffee.  Two creams...four sugars...always.  We would drink our coffee together and catch up on things.  Hadn't seen Tom for a few months.

I will miss him very much.  These are a few of the special memories I have of him.  My thoughts go out to the entire family.

We are all deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Tommy; dearest nephew & cousin.  He will be missed by us all.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. A wonderful friend to our son John and an occasional guest in our Marquette home.  Tommy you were a true gentleman and I'm saddened to see you go.  May God receive your soul and welcome you to Paradise.

Tom you will be missed very much. I have  many fond memories of us hunting fishing and riding our Harley's  out west
