Of Oak Creek, Found peace August 31, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband for 67 years of Clara Polster (nee Manderle). Loving father of the late Duane Jr. (Betty) Polster, Ruth (James) McDonough, the late Dale Polster, and Mary (Dale) Moats. Proud grandfather of James (Jill) McDonough, Ryan (Kim) McDonough, Dean Filtz, Jamie (Dan) Swosinski, Kevin (Anne) Polster, Kristin (Dan) Koch, Corey (Wosen) Gizaw, Brooke Moats, and great-grandfather of Kaelan, Connor, Paxton, Hadley, Zedekis, and Sabrina. Dear brother of Marilyn (the late James) Stewart, Loraine (the late Vincent) Guckenberger, Diane (Jerome) Foltz, the late Gerald (Catherine) Polster, and Robert (the late Helen) Polster. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 5, at 11:00AM at St. Matthew's Little Brick Church. 9329 S. Chicago Rd. Oak Creek. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home chapel, and on Friday from 10:00AM until time of Mass at church. Entombment private Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Duane was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years, and a retiree of ladish after 40 years of service. He was a volunteer of the Oak Creek Fire Department for 30 years. He was a member of the Ladish Fat Man's Club. Duane was also a butcher at Hoppe's Meat Market.
