Bob and his first wife, Margaret Roy Gotti, enjoyed 48 years of marriage before her untimely death in 2013. Bob is survived by his loving and caring second wife, Andrea; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Richard Parker, of Queensbury, NY; his two sons: Rob, and his wife, Claire, of Westwood, MA, and Keith and his wife, Nicole, of Ridgefield, CT; and seven grandchildren who lit up his life on a daily basis: Brendan, Bryan, Melissa, Michael, Madison, Ashley and Kelsey.
Bob was a graduate of New Rochelle High School and Iona College where he received his BBA. Most of his career was with the IRS where he was a field auditor, handling cases in Westchester and southern Connecticut. Bob served in the Army National Guard for seven years and worked in the local post office while attending college.
Bob loved sports both as a participant as well as a spectator. At the age of 60, Bob and his playing partner won the N.E. Regional Handball tourney, held at the West Point Military Academy. He was a little league coach and umpire for several years. Here on the Cape, Bob enjoyed golf, walks on the beach and working around the house and in the yard. Bob attended the Brewster Baptist Church and volunteered at the food pantry as well as the building and grounds committee. He was also a member of the Cape Cod Retired Men’s Club and the Dennis 18 Hole Seniors Golf League.
Most people consider themselves fortunate to find love once in their lifetime. Bob was blessed to have found love a second time. He would often tell his two sons that he was the luckiest guy around because of the beautiful, talented and smart women in his life.
