Patricia (Pat) was born in Brockton in 1949 to Ralph T Conner, and Helen C (Welch) Conner.
Patricia was preceded in death by husband Thomas F King, and her brothers Peter Conner and Thomas Conner. She is survived by sons Thomas F King III and Gregory C King, daughter in laws Kyle C King and Jennifer L King, and sister Maureen Conner DeMarco, and four adored grandchildren; Leah, Thomas, Claire, and Cora
Pat began school in Brockton, then Archbishop Williams in Braintree, and Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett NH. After graduating she returned to Braintree and started teaching. She taught elementary school in Brockton and cherished her Franklin school colleagues. Pat loved to travel and with her bridge group and a combination of new and old friends she would see the world.
When school was in session Pat was a dedicated teacher; however, after the bell rang she would spend summers on her beloved Cape Cod. Her deep rooted love for the Cape started at childhood and held strong the rest of her life. Pat loved sitting on the beach, taking her kids to the beach, taking a boat ride to the beach, walking along the beach, and taking her grandkids to the beach. To the surprise of no one, upon retirement she went to the beach!
While building a beautiful life by the water Pat and husband Tom became involved with the West Dennis Yacht Club where they made many lifelong friends Away from beach and boat life Pat enjoyed plays, concerts and musicals, and many many books. She routinely played along with Jeopardy and never missed the Boston Globe crossword puzzle.
Pat made friends easily and always had a smile for a friendly face. She had a lively retirement, largely thanks to the D/Y Newcomers club. She enjoyed her later years involved in many different social activities; all of which seemed to frequently involve restaurants, music, and wine! She lived her life well and will be missed by all that loved her. Good night, God bless, we love you.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 4-7pm at Doane, Beal and Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11 AM at St Pius X, 5 Barbara Street, South Yarmouth.
