Carol Trott (Fredrickson), 92, of Eastham, died peacefully on Thursday, November 30th, of natural causes. She was born on December 28th, 1930 in Burley, Idaho to the late John D. Fredrickson and Sabina (Thorne) Fredrickson. She was the fifth of nine children. She was raised in Declo, Idaho and graduated from Acequia High School in Rupert and was the valedictorian of the class of 15 graduates. She attended business school after graduation from high school. She married George W. Trott in Great Falls, Montana on June 1st, 1953 prior to moving to the East Coast to start her family.
Aside from raising a family, Carol worked tirelessly in the domestic industry, housekeeping and home health care. She was a certified nurses aide and was employed for decades at local nursing homes. After retiring from those jobs, she worked for Seniors Helping Seniors, where she was typically older than the clients she serviced.
Carol is survived by four children: Steven A. Trott of Powhatan, VA, Timothy F. Trott of Eastham, Bruce J. Trott of Dennis, and Randy G. Trott of Midlothian, VA, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was the beloved mother of Janice C. Scott who died in 1994. Her husband George died in 1997.
Carol enjoyed sewing and gardening, and was always available to help friends and family whenever the need arose. In her later years she navigated her vehicle cross country solo more than once to visit her family in the northwestern part of the country. She will be sorely missed and well remembered.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 6th at 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery on Rt. 134 in South Dennis.
