Born on March 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim P. and Mary (Freitas) Gomes.
She is survived by three brothers Belfred Lomba and his wife Suzanne of Daly City, CA, Antone P. Gomes and his wife Dorothy of Acushnet Manuel (Manuta) P. Gomes of New Bedford; three sisters Amelia Lopes and her husband John of East Hartford, CT, Delores P. Gomes and Shirley A. Pina of New Bedford; a brother in-law A. George Poirier of New Bedford; numerous nephews, nieces, great and great great nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Dolak was also the sister of the late Alice G. Poirier, John Gomes and Albert P. Gomes.
Her funeral will be held on Wed. Aug.8, 2012 at 8am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT DARTMOUTH 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by her funeral mass at 9am in Our Lady of Assumption Church 47 So. Sixth St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to New Bedford Rehab Hospital, Dorothy Dolak Activities Fund, 4499 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford, MA 02745.
