Mary Moniz

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel C. and Mary (Sariva) Martin, she has lived in Somerset for over 35 years.

Mrs. Moniz worked for Bomark Manufacturing for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed going to Foxwoods and was a Lawrence Welk fan.

She is survived by two daughters; Gail Warren and her companion David Beauregard of Somerset, Gerry Sedoma of Fall River, two grandchildren; Michael and Trista Sedoma of Fall River, one brother; William Martin and his wife Barbara of Clearwater, FL, her companion; Edward Bastek of Somerset, and her niece and caregiver; Barbara Soares of Fall River. She was sister of the late Edith Pedro, Hilda Moniz, Angelina Silvia, John, Manuel, Alfred and Mariano Martin.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St. Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. John of God Church, 1036 Brayton Ave., Somerset. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to VNA Hospice, 200 Mill Rd. Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
