Born in Fall River, a son of the late Joseph O. And Sarah (Lima) Souza. He was a long time resident of Somerset.
A graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1960, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and later a member of the Army Reserves.
After the Air Force he worked as a machinist, a clerk at the US Post Office, a guard on British Rail, a clerk and fireman a Quaker Fabric and was a Steam Engineer at hospitals and finally at Montaup Electric. After early retirement he enjoys driving motor coaches.
He is survived by two sons, Adam Souza of Somerset and David Souza of Anchorage, AK; one sister Irene Richard and her husband Roger: one grandson, Mark Souza and his wife Lynn of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Benjamin and many nice and nephews. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Souza.
A celebration of Life will be held a Somerset Progressive Club, 139 Seaver Ave, Somerset, MA 4 PM till 8 PM on September 16. Contributions in his honor may be made to Feed the Children, 33 North Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
