He was born in Queens, New York, the son of the late Brian A. and Mary Ann (Barresi) Farquhar. Brian was a lifelong resident of the city and a 1987 graduate of BMC Durfee High School. He went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1992.
Brian owned and operated his own painting business for 20 years until his retirement in 2018. Pufo enjoyed playing ice hockey in his youth, and excelled at the sport while attending Durfee High School. He went on to be recruited to play hockey for the University of Connecticut, Storrs. In addition to excelling at sports, Brian also was an amazing cook. He loved to share his Italian heritage and traditions by cooking for family and friends, and sharing a meal together.
Brian was an avid lover of music, particularly the Grateful Dead. He attended many shows and cherished the friendships made along the way. He also loved animals, particularly shelter pets which he adopted throughout his lifetime. Brian was also a member of the Italian Progressive Club and The Sons & Daughters of Italy.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Brian was the loving father of Kailie M. Farquhar of Fall River; his sister Laurie Farquhar of Bedford, NH; two nieces Isabella and Juliet Laws; a father in-law Ed Lacerda of Somerset; and aunt Donna Farquhar of Walworth, NY and many cousins and friends that will all miss his funny jokes, his laid back demeanor and companionship.
