Dorothy A. “Dee” (Stoyan) Petta, 93, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital with her children at her side. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Angelo and Anna (Skapura) Stoyan. She resided in Syracuse most of her life, but spent the last seventeen years in Florida before returning to Syracuse this past December. Dee attended Central High School, loved to attend concerts, refinish antiques, sew and play cards with her friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael A. Petta in 1992, her parents, a brother and a sister.
Surviving are her children, Cynthia Petta, of Syracuse and Robert Petta, of Camillus, several nieces, nephews, cousins and 2 sisters.
Calling hours are from 4 to 6 pm Friday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Online condolences may be offered at www.bagozzitwins.com.
