Patricia J. Sandlin

Patricia was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Joseph Alexander Hicks and Edna Ruth Roberts Hicks on December 24, 1937. She graduated Bass High School in 1956. She went on to earn an associate degree from DeKalb Community College and attended nursing school in Atlanta, Georgia. Patricia spent most of her career in the Plumbing business, as bookkeeper and office manager, as well as time in the local Atlanta advertising industry. Patricia enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading and gardening. She was active in her church St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia for many years. She volunteered with Bay County Florida Council On Aging and with various local hospitals.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Robin Sandlin and former husband, Billy R. Sandlin, Sr., of Dunnellon, Florida, as well as several cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Patricia is preceded in death by her stillborn daughter, son, Billy R. Sandlin Jr., her niece, Theresa Kenney, sisters Lynda Earnest and Janet Nelson, brothers, Jack Hicks and Harold “Butch” Bradford and her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A private family funeral service will be held in Snellville, Georgia on a future date. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, Georgia.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her kind and patient caregivers, Tonya, Diane, Heidi, Trisha Ann and Annie. As well as her APRN, Toni Clark and nurse, Carolean Caruthers.
