John "Doug" Douglas Arrington

John "Doug" Douglas Arrington, age 90, of Loganville, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Doug was born on July3, 1932 in Quitman, GA to Thomas Nicholson Arrington and Sarah Earl Branch Arrington. Doug proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as an airline mechanic for Delta Airlines for 34 years before retiring. Doug loved family, travel, airplanes, photography, yard work, Atlanta Braves baseball, but he especially loved the Lord, his church and church family.

Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Jackson Arrington, brother Thomas Arrington, sister Ann Rowell, sister Frances (Lloyd) Branch, sister Harriet (Stuart) Stapleford, brother Robert Arrington, and brother Branch (Rose) Arrington.

Doug is survived by wife, Joan Thigpen Arrington, daughters Angela (Richard, Jr.)Haynes, Terri (Douglas) Mason, Son, Thomas (Chip) Nicholson Arrington(Allison), grandkids: Madison Patricia Haynes, Alexandra Grace Haynes, Michael Arrington and many nieces and nephews

A visitation for Doug will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia. A funeral service will occur Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia. A committal service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia.
