James Andrew Partain

James “Jim” Andrew Partain, age 56, of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Jim was born October 12, 1965 at Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base in Oklahoma to Troy Lee Partain and June Craft Partain.

As a child Jim accepted Christ as his Savior. It is a blessing for his family to know that he is now in heaven with his loved ones who have gone before him.

Jimmy will forever be remembered for his passion of everything related to fast cars. He found his love for cars and racing at an early age which became a lifelong thrill. He was a skilled mechanic working on everything from airplanes, heavy equipment to anything mechanical…but nothing made him as happy as souping up one of his Mustangs to take to the drag strip or watching anything related to fast cars and racing.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother June (Craft) Partain of Stone Mountain, GA; his beloved daughters Danielle M. Partain of Cumming, GA and Alexandria L. Partain of Jacksonville, FL; his sister Carol Williams (Bill); his nephew Josh Williams and niece Andie Griffin (Josh) all of Lexington, NC; along with devoted friends whom he considered family.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship and countless cherished memories. In honor of his memory, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.

A graveside service for James will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.
