Robert "Bob" Everett

Robert was born in Norridgewock on May 14, 1931, the son of Edna and Cassius Everett.

Robert worked various jobs in Connecticut and Maine and most recently was owner and operator of Everett’s Garage in Norridgewock.

Robert took great pride in his community and supporting the small businessman. He enjoyed local entertainment including the Skowhegan State Fair and Blue Grass Shows.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, his daughter, Kathy, his son Jerry and his stepdaughters, Donna (Brown) Jillson and Diane (Brown) Ellis.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn, his sons, Bob (Karen) Everett, Dale Everett, Jeff (Lori) Everett, and his daughters, Peggy (Paul) Dummitt, Pattie (Roy) Randlett, and Sherri (Don) Thompson, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one sister, Letha (Pete) Wasson.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 1, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Skowhegan Federated Church, Island Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. A committal service will be held in the spring at the Oak Cemetery in Norridgewock, Maine.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge Health Care for all their wonderful care, especially his nurse, Angel Sia, who showed great compassion during Roberts’ illness.
