Athens – Dorothy “Dot” A. (Otto) Rotondi, 83, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021 at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. Dorothy was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on June 21, 1938, the daughter of Charles and Jane (Duff) Otto. She married Frank Rotondi.
Dorothy spent many years operating a dairy farm in Athens and running a meat market in Madison with her husband Frank. Dorothy also spent many years working as a cashier at Walmart in Skowhegan. She always enjoyed company and cooking and always wanted to feed everyone that came through the door. Dorothy would always make you feel welcome and treated you like family. She loved to spend time with her family and was a very proud Nana. She also enjoyed watching the cows graze in the fields at home.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her son, Charles and his wife Tracey Rotondi; her grandsons, Paul Rotondi, Nicholas Rotondi and his girlfriend Michelle Jarvis and her son Scott Fitts, Peter Rotondi and his fiancé Kayli Cunningham; her great-granddaughter, Addison Rotondi all of Athens. Her daughters, Dorothy Canelli of Fairfield, Edith Baglieri and her husband Tony of New Jersey. Her granddaughters Jill Baglieri, Susan Baglieri and her husband Thomas Anderson; her great-grandsons Lucien & Julian of Pennsylvania. Her grandson Tony McDonald and his wife Leslie and great-grandchildren, Kylie, Amanda & Jordan of Georgia. Several nieces and nephews. Also a very special friend, Merlene Steward of Bingham; and many other friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Frank and her son, Frankie.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no services.
