Tin Shik Chin, 88 of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was born in Canton, China on September 28, 1933. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from National Taiwan University in 1960 before immigrating to the US in 1968. He was the manager and proprietor of several Chinese restaurants in Four Corners, Langley Park and White Oak throughout his working years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan S. Chin and his children Elaine S. Chin, Irene S. Chin, Michele C. (Scott) Costigan, and Kwok Lang Chin (aka Tony). He was a devoted father and grandfather. He adored and doted on his three grandchildren Caymen A. Hanesworth, Caris R. Costigan and Evan S. Costigan.
He was the loving son of the late Bing Q. Chin and the late Toy King Woo Chin. He was the brother of Esther K. Dan, the late Tin Chee Chan, and the late Karen Moyer. He was loved by all his nephews and nieces.
He lived a long and happy life.
A private service will be on April 29th, 2021 and interment at Gate of Heaven, Silver Spring, Maryland.
