Joe met the Prasada-Raos in India in 1980.  It didn't take long for Mom and Dad to adopt Joe into the family!!!  This picture was taken at Reaching Hearts in 2007 when Joe brought Elaine to Maryland to meet Mom and Dad --- who immediately adopted Elaine into the family, too!

We miss you Dad.

To the bereaved family of Tom,

I was saddened to hear the loss of a family friend for so many years.   I always remember his wisdom.  He is very soft spoken, kind and a gentle person.  

He lived a good life and has peacefully joined our Creator.  May his soul rest in peace eternally.

Thank you Tom for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.  You will be missed.

Good Morning Patty and Family, my condolences to you. As I read your father’s obituary, Mr. Prasada-Rao was a main after God’s own heart and to know him you would love him. Family, you have so…many wonderful memories. Mrs. Ardys Prasada-Rao, take care of yourself and I hope to meet you one day. Family, earth has no sorry that Heaven cannot heal. Revelation 21:4. Dear Family,

Words are inadequate when it comes to expressing all Uncle was to so many of us. He was gentle… kind…. humble… a good listener… generous…passionate of faith… a true man of 
G-d. He set an example for so many in the community.. in his family….in the church by “living  the good life and  filling other’s lives with music and song. I won’t be able to hear a harmonica or listen to “ May the good Lord bless and keep you…” without seeing the twinkle in your eye and knowing you are resting in peace. 
You will be missed dear one.

So sorry to hear of Uncle’s passing. Prayers for comfort for the family. Looking forward to the day when sadness is left behind. Thankful for this Godly life and the influence he had on those around him. 

I remember Mr. Prasada-Rao back in 1995 when Patty and I assumed our role as co-executive directors of New Song Miistries.  Mr. And Mrs.  Prasada-Rao made it to every important event.

I appreciated her parents support of patty passion for our community. The harmonic was a joy to hear him play as well.



This was taken June 25, 2022 when Lupeda, Chelsea and I visited you Patty.  After meeting your parents on a previous visit, they made us feel so welcomed that we felt like a part of the family.  We knew that when we visited again, seeing them as well was non-negotiable :))  I’m so glad we had that special time with them.  

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Thomas. Our paths through life crossed but briefly, but he made an indelible impression on me. I will always remember him for a seemingly simple thing- his harmonica. He made such beautiful music from such a simple instrument! I’m sure he is now in the heavenly choir, helping the angels bring songs of praise to God! 
Please accepts our condolences and our prayers for his soul. A donation has been made in his memory to the Bach to School program to help bring music education to public schools, so others may see God and peace in music, as I saw in Thomas’s harmonica.


Uncle, may you rest in peace.
There are so many things I could say about this man: he taught me to read the little bit of Urdu I know, he always was there to encourage me whenever we spoke, he always listened to whatever was going on in my life, and most importantly, he was a man of God, a personable and loving soul, and so many more words could there are to describe my Uncle Tom.

While I can’t be there in person, I know he would understand - but I will be attending online. Rest in peace, Uncle - until we meet again. Thank you for loving God as much as you did and teaching me everything you did.

Laurie and I are sending prayers for Tom Senior and his family.  Tom and Ardys’s house was, indeed, a place of welcoming hospitality for friends, family and strangers.  In 1992, my family of 5 and a friend of our oldest son, Matt, visited the Prasada Raos one evening while I was attending a meeting with Patty Prasada Rao.  They welcomed us, fed us a wonderful meal, and invited us to stay the night, which we did.  Such a warm and loving family!
