Lewis Marc Caplan, beloved son to Saul and Elaine, and brother to Steven Caplan, passed away at his home on November 13, 2024. He was 66. Developmentally disabled from birth on July 4, 1958, Lewis lived in a warm, loving, caring group home in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was a kind, gentle, innocent, childlike soul with a pure heart. His family and the folks at group homes who took care of him saw to it that he lived life to the fullest. He spent many years at Melwood working in their nursery and on other assignments. His burial will take place on Monday, November 18th at 11 am at Mount Lebanon Cemetery 9304 Adelphi Road Adelphi, Maryland 20783 followed by a gathering in Hyattsville, where he grew up.
