Janet Nagy Page, 62, of Silver Spring, MD died Sunday morning in her home. She was born on December 28, 1955, the daughter of Frank and Virginia (Zolchiak) Nagy of Perrysburg, Ohio. Janet earned her bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University; where she was a Chi Omega and spent two semesters abroad at Kansai Gaidai University, Osaka Japan. Janet was a devoted and loving mother to her three children. She was a fantastic station wagon captain. Janet was passionately involved in her children’s activities, including Modelling Moppets and the Girl Scouts of America. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection where she lectured for years. Janet was an avid bridge player and active in both the Montgomery County Stroke Association and Red Hat Society. Her family and friends will miss her enthusiasm, generosity and tenacity for life.
She is survived by children, Caroline (Braxton) Richardson of Adelphi, William and Elizabeth of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Dr. Thomas (Diane) Nagy of Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. Paul Nagy.
Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave Silver Spring, MD 20904. The funeral service is at 11am with viewing at 10am on Saturday, November 3rd at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD 20866. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Resurrection or Montgomery County Stroke Association.
