He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Weinberg. He is survived by his mother, Leanor, his two children Quinn (Stephen) Owen and Benton and their mother Janet. Additionally, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew (Susie) and Brian (Jennifer), 13 nieces and nephews, and his partner Renee.
Harold grew up in Silver Spring, graduated from Springbrook High School and the University of Maryland. He worked in the family business as President of MILES Realty.
Of all the things he did, he did being a father the best.
At one time or another had coached every one of Benton’s sports teams. He introduced Benton to golf at the age of 3 and Benton never turned back. Harold loved watching him play golf and loved playing golf with him. He particularly enjoyed traveling with him while Benton played on the University of Iowa golf team.
He instilled a love of sports in Quinn too. He always had season tickets to MD basketball, football, and MD Women’s basketball, which Quinn attended with him. Each year while Quinn was in college, the two of them traveled to Vanderbilt’s Thanksgiving basketball tournaments. They also shared a love for country music, stopping for ice cream on the way home, and relaxing on any beach.
Harold always loved spending time with family and friends at the golf course, swimming pool, hot tub, grill, and pizza oven. Many good times were had by all, and he will be missed greatly.
Harold was very sure in his political views. None of us would be terribly surprised if a suspicious ballot were to float out of the skies on November 8, 2022 and on November 5. 2024.
The family will be hosting a dinner reception following the service at Norbeck Country Club, 17200 Cashell Rd, Rockville, MD 20853.
