Antonietta is survived by her beloved children, Pasquale, Filomena, Miguel and daughter-in-law Estela; her grandchildren, Jonathan and Nicolas and her great-grand child Benjamin. Antonietta is predeceased by husband Nicola, sister Rosina, brothers Giuseppe & Donato. She is remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends from around the world.
Antonietta was born in Satriano Di Lucania, Italy on February 26, 1937, married her husband Nicola in 1957 and 1958 immigrated to Uruguay (South America) to start a new life and that chapter lasted about 20 years when Antonietta and Nicola migrated to Maryland, USA. In Uruguay and in Maryland they raised 3 children. Antonietta was a homemaker in every sense, every year she would tend to her large garden that would produce many fruits and vegetables, what was not eaten fresh of the garden was preserved or canned and lasted throughout the year. She was always baking and cooking mostly from scratch and recipes were rarely written down. She really enjoyed cooking and family gatherings, everyone that came to the house to visit was always welcomed with the best homemade food to eat and the Pascale’s homemade wine.
Antonietta was a caring mother, wife and homemaker – she is dearly missed but we have comfort in knowing that she is at peace and together with her beloved husband Nicola.
