Vincent Walter Nichols

He was born on February 4, 1936, in Hattieville, AR to the late Andrew and Mary Williams Nichols.

On August 29, 1957, in Vanduser, MO he married Janice Marie “Jane” Hill Nichols who preceded him in death on September 11, 2013.

He was a member of the Matthews Church of Christ in Matthews, MO and was a farmhand for most of all his life.

He is survived by one son, Dennis (Francis) Nichols of Canalou, MO; two daughters, Debbie (James) Rhodes of Sikeston, MO, and Tina Wilburn of Canalou, MO; one sister, Wanda of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Jacobs and Shana Archie and one grandson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Larry Harwood of the Matthews Church of Christ in Matthews, MO, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, MO.

Pallbearers will be Luke Rhodes, Lance Rhodes, Josh Carter, Justin Holder, Tyler Gilmore and Zack Cook.
