Jewel Ozro Taylor, age 99, of Sikeston, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born May 13, 1916, in Chaffee, to the late Frank and Milvrey Collins Little, she was employed for 15 years by the National Lock Co. in Sikeston, and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist belief. On November 27, 1936, in New Madrid, she married Ernest Lee Taylor, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Patty Taylor of Cape Girardeau and Rick and Leslie Taylor of Sikeston; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Wayne Taylor, two brothers, John Little and Cecil Little, and three sisters, Clara Bledsoe, Dolly Brown and Lucille Little.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, under the direction of Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Bro. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jeff McGuirk, Justin Taylor, Cory Taylor, Sean Taylor, Alex Hicks and Aaron Hicks.
