LaNora was born on August 21, 1942 in Campti, Louisiana to the late, William Franklin Myers, Sr. and Mary Lou Evans Myers. She was a faithful child of God, who loved her family, church and lived life to the fullest. She adored being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a strong faith and instilled that into her family. LaNora enjoyed reading books and color by numbers. She also liked reading her Bible and attending bible study.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Wanda Sue Patterson and Carolyn White.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Odell Dossett, Kendell Wayne McManus, Debra Leliann Robinson, Jeremy Wayne Scott McManus and wife, Jamie; siblings, William F. Myers, Jr., Barbara Nichols and husband Jesse, LaBrillia Johnson and husband, Shelby, and Bonnie Terry Hawthorne and husband Guy. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family and friends.
A visitation for LaNora will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life will occur Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Bro. Josh Sandy of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. Honoring the family as active pallbearers will be Jeremy McManus, Preston Joiner, Tyler McManus, Peyton Dossett, Garrett Dossett, Larry Cossey, and honorary pallbearer Thomas Woodrow Wilson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Green Meadow Haven of Coushatta. They would also like to especially thank Derrick and Loretha for their tremendous support and continued dedication to Ms. LaNora and her family during this difficult time, especially the last months of her life.
