Thomas "Tommy" Hall Carpenter, age 78, of Shreveport, Louisiana went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born January 2, 1943 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Essie Mae and John William Carpenter.
Tommy was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend. After graduating from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for four years. He retired after working many years as a machinist. After retiring he owned and operated a small engine repair shop. He could fix anything. He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church and an active member of the Pastor's Sunday School Class.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. His most precious memories were spent with his family, whom he loved dearly especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Peggy Carpenter; his sons, Darren Carpenter (Heather) and Donnie Carpenter (Julie); his brother, Wayne Carpenter (Joyce); his grandchildren, Candice Carpenter (Mikel Ferro), Brandon Carpenter, Dustyn Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Tyjhnae Carpenter, Tyler Drummond, Jessica Drummond (Daniel Montes), Jacob Sipler, his great grandchildren, Greyson Carpenter, Gavin Carpenter, Kylie Montes, Daniel Montes and Eli Drummond.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lorriane Cantrell; his brothers John Carpenter, William Carpenter and James Carpenter; and grandchild, Jeremy Carpenter.
A vistiation for Tommy will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Following the vistiation will be a celebration of life at graveside at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring him as pallbearers are his Grandsons. Officiating will be Paul Navarre.
