Teresa was born August 27, 1952 in Ramsgate, England, living all of her life in Shreveport, LA.
Teresa had deep-rooted faith in Jesus and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints, both having attended on Carroll Street and currently in Stonewall.
While having many difficulties in her life, she was a very independent woman. She enjoyed
visiting with neighbors and friends, was always talkative and attentive. Many said she was sweet, kind, cheerful, never bothered anyone and was always helpful. Always working in her yard and walking all around the neighborhood; everyone in the neighborhood knew her. She also volunteered to help at running races when her brother David ran. She also volunteered to work with her sister, Carol at the American Rose Society many times working in the libraries. Teresa also had many friends in the Southern Hills Church of Christ and the Summer Grove Baptist Church, especially Sandra Jordan.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Emory Lamar Woodard, and her mother, Molly Evelyn Murley Woodard. Teresa is survived by brothers, Danny Ray (Merlene) of West Point, UT and David Emory of Bossier City, LA; sister, Carol Spiers (Jerry) of Bossier City, LA; niece Shellie Acocello (Mike) of Ringgold, GA; nephews, Joseph Woodard (Whitney) of Vernal, Utah; Eric Woodard, Millcreek, Utah; Bret Woodard and Ryan Woodard of West Point, Utah; aunts, especially Yvonne Fowler (Bobby) who took care of all of us when we were young), uncles as well as numerous cousins in the US and the United Kingdom.
Her mother took care of her after her father’s death in 1974 until her death in 1998. The rest of
her family took over after her mother passed and helped her out as much as they could--Carol
doing finances and bills, Danny would take care of home projects when needed and come visit
when he could, and David was beneficial in visiting with her, taking her for lunch or dinner,
attending running events and other activities.
