Roy lived most of his life in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was always a good student and graduated from Fair Park High School, Shreveport, Louisiana. In his youth he loved fishing, baseball, and developed a love for welding. He was a good brother and was always looking out for his little sisters. He was known for his hearty laugh and a beautiful smile. Roy's life was mosaic and we were blessed to be a part of it. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Wade Vance.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Jeanette and sisters, Angela and Cynthia. He is also survived by many other family members.
A private Family Graveside Service will be held for Roy. Interment will be in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
The family is thankful for the love and care of the staff at Saint Francisville Country Manor and the doctors and nurses at West Feliciana Hospital.
