It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Rosalies, a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 77. Roger was a devoted family man known for his hardworking nature, kind spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Born on October 19, 1947, Roger was a proud member of the Adai Caddo Indian Nation. He grew up with a strong work ethic that guided him throughout his life, dedicating 42 years to his work for AT&T. Roger was a tireless provider for his family, always putting the needs of others before his own. Whether in his career or at home, he gave everything he had to ensure his loved ones were well cared for and supported. Roger's hands, weathered from years of labor, were a reflection of his dedication, but it was his heart, full of love and generosity, that truly defined him.
A proud husband to his wife, Phyllis, for 40 years, Roger was the epitome of devotion and loyalty. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As a father, Roger was a constant source of strength and guidance, always offering a listening ear or wise counsel. His children, Andrew and Gary, will forever remember his patience, guidance, and love.
Roger was also a cherished brother to his siblings, offering not just family ties but a deep bond of friendship and support. He delighted in being a grandfather to his four grandchildren, whom he adored. His playful spirit and warm presence brought joy and comfort to their lives, and he was always eager to share snacks and stories, go fishing, and attend all of their special events.
Above all, Roger will be remembered for his selflessness, his quiet wisdom, and his ability to make everyone around him feel valued. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, and his legacy of love will continue to live on in his family, friends, and all who knew him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate providers at Christus Highland Medical Center for their care and support during Roger’s final days. Their dedication and kindness comforted Roger and his loved ones during this difficult time.
Roger is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children, Andrew (Sarah) and Gary (Casey); his grandchildren (Jackson, Carly, Stella, and Aubrey); his siblings Patsy, Howard (Connie), and Calvin (Martha); and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and brother-in-law.
A celebration of Roger’s life will be held on November 14, 2024, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, with the rosary, service, graveside blessing, and catered reception to follow.
Roger’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, Roger. You were a true blessing to us all.
