Sister Garza was a God fearing woman, and loved God to the fullest. She was a true inspiration to all. Sister Garza being a woman of faith, experienced her Pentecost, lived her life and never wavered. Her walk presented the Holy Spirit. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved her family immensely and worked hard to provide the best life possible for them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Daria (Doris) Chevaz of Holister, CA; sons, Louis Vasquez and Lawrence Garza Jr. (Lorie) of AR; daughters, Rosie Moreno (Robert) of Shreveport, LA; Maggie Durst of Bossier City; and Della Sauseda (Alfonso Sr.) of Shreveport, LA. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Vasquez and Lawrence Garza; daughter, Vera Rodrigez; grandson, Clement Onishia; and her parents.
A visitation for Sister Garza will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life will occur Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12:00 PM also at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Reverend Ricky Belgard of Tioga, Louisiana, a long time friend, family and spiritual brother.
