Mary Maxine Paddie, age 83 of Keithville, LA passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Mary was born July 3, 1940 to John and Evie Herring. Maxine received her Louisiana Practical Nursing license after attending Nursing School in Eldorado, AR. She spent all of her life working as a LPN, most recently working at The family Doctors Group in Shreveport, LA until her retirement.
Maxine loved the Art of Quilting, Traveling, Gardening and Beekeeping. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dewey Paul Paddie and sister, Jaunice Smith.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Mary Harp and husband, Roger; son, Mark Paddie; grandchildren, Ashley Paddie and fiancé, Jessie, Heather Harp and Haley Harp and great grandchild, Bailey McCoy.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Since this is a celebration, the family asks that all in attendance dress casual.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Scott Baxter, Jay Duke, Nathan Everett, Michael Taylor, Blake Vidale, Braeden Duke and John Brown.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Christus Highland Hospital, The Family Doctors, Advanced Cardiology, Delta Nephrology & Pulmonary Critical Care Specialist Dr. Desai.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
