Mary T. Latham, 92, went to be with her savior Jesus, on November 23, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 6, 1929 to James and Mattie Monroe, who preceded her in death.
Mary was also preceded in death by her husband Les Latham; son, Larry W. Green; granddaughter, Kristina Green; son-in-law, Barry Wilkinson, and her brothers, James, Bernie, and Milton Monroe.
She is survived by her son, Wes Green and his wife, Melody, and her daughter, Pam Wilkinson.
She leaves behind her dearly loved 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was a graduate of Fair Park High School, class of 1946. After many years of working, she retired in 2001 from Christus Shumpert Hospital. Active in her church, Mary served many years in the Word of Life choir, as well as the “55 Alive “and “Girlfriends." She was a true “Prayer Warrior “, spending many hours a week praying for family, friends, and her church. She will be missed by all, and welcomed by Jesus, hearing Him say “Well done thy good and faithful servant!”
A graveside celebration service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Centuries Memorial Cemetery 8801 Mansfield Rd. Shreveport, Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Mary’s pastor, Sam Carr of Life United Church, Shreveport. Visitation will precede the service at the Centuries Memorial Chapel from 12:00-1:00.
The family would like to thank Dr. Randy Delmundo, Willis Knighton Hospice, and the Live Oak West staff for her care during her last days here.
