Marvin retired from serving in the United States Air Force as a MSG. He served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite and Mason. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He owned a camp on Toledo Bend for 18 years. Marvin and his wife spent winters in Texas and summers in Missouri traveling in their motorhome. He liked listening to country music and watching NASCAR. He was a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved his church family.
Marvin is preceded in death by his son, David Lee; daughter, Diane Stayner; his parents; and three sisters, Lucille Nix, Bernice Collinsworth and Lorene Gibbs.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Lee; son, Mike Lee; son, Jerry Lee and his wife Fern and their children, Holly , Jeri Michelle, Bridget, Jerry Jr., Delores, Tina, Terry and 17 great grandchildren; daughter, Kathy and her husband Mark and their children, Christopher, Garrett and a great grandchild; David's family, Frances and her children, Crystal, Chase, Shellie and 9 great grandchildren; Diane's family, Ashley, Matt and 3 great grandchildren; and son by choice Jody Cascio.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Matt Smith, Chase Lee, Randy Nix, Danny Jenkins, Bill Smith, and Charley Ferlito.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marvin's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Disabled American Veteran Fund, The Shriners and Salem Baptist Church.
