Margaret was a very active member of The Order of The Eastern Star at Sunset Chapter 227 for many years where she served at different stations. She retired after more than 25 years as a front office manager in the hotel industry, but her most proud thing in life was being “Me-Me”. She was very proud of her grandchildren, Kayleigh Wallace, Cory Brown, Megan Roach, Hunter Mays, Aaron Dixon, Samuel Dixon, and Rachel Dixon and she was just as proud of her great grandchildren, Maddison and Alyson Roach, Viviana, Hadley and Landon Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Buddy” Dixon; grandchild, Taylor Brown; parents, William and Ethel Dunbar; brothers, Calvin and Kenneth Dunbar; and sisters, Lenor Zeigler and Thelma Kelly. She is survived by her son, Roy Wayne Dixon; daughters, Deidra Brown and husband Gerard and Teri Mays and husband Brian; sisters, Bess Chance, Dora Kaylor, Lois Mangham and husband Bobby; brothers William “Bill” Dunbar and wife Carol and Richard Dunbar as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jim Maranto, Randy Coke, Mark Mangham, Mike Mangham, Chris Bullock, and Steven Hill. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Hord, Murray Hord and James Lee Lyons.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Cornerstone Hospital for the care given to her, to Rocky Maddox for sharing his amazing voice at her services and to all the friends and family that were there by our sides through it all. You’ve all touched our hearts so deeply.
