Joseph Andrew "Drew" Goodwin II

Drew was born on August 4, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joseph and Ferne Goodwin. He graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1964. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he attended Oklahoma University and was a dedicated fan of OU Football until his passing. He earned his MBA from Centenary College. He worked for Emery Air Freight for many years, then worked for HSLI for 22 years as Risk Manager. He proudly served on various boards of the American Society of Hospital Risk Managers during that time. In addition to OU Football, Drew loved music and sang in a barbershop quartet, competing nationally.

He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, Daniel Fletcher Goodwin and Julie Goodwin.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Margaret, his son, Trey (Christy) of Stonewall, LA, his daughter Lucy of New Orleans, LA, sisters, Mary Goodwin and Sara Bouvaird of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by five stepdaughters whom he loved and they loved him dearly. Erin Davenport (Chris) of Maryville, TN, Heather Herrmann (Gene) of Brentwood, TN, Lauren Scallan (Shane) of Melissa, TX, Emily Ensor (Kelly) of Memphis, TN and Megan Walpole (Danny) of Ruston, LA. One of his favorite joys in life was as “ Papa Drew” to Jacob, Colin and Paige Goodwin, Kristin and Cadie Davenport, Gene, Jack and William Herrmann, Catherine Scallan, Graham and Eleanor Ensor and Henry, Hudson and Brooks Walpole.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at graveside at 11:00 AM.
