March 1, 1966 - August 28, 2021

John Russell Penick, of Mansfield, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the age of 55 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Russ was the son of John David Penick and Irma Jean Penick.

Left to treasure is memory are his father John David Penick, brother David Wayne Penick (Pam), nephew Jonathon Penick, Sr. (Lena), and niece Candace Penick. Also left to treasure his memory are numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Preceded in death is his loving mother, Irma Jean Penick.

Special thanks to his girlfriend, Logan Richmore, for taking care of him through his time of need. Many thanks to his coworkers at Hyundai Motor America.

Russ will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved and excelled in the car business. It allowed him the opportunity to travel across the country and make many new friends. He loved to hunt and felt a special place in his heart for Summerfield, LA and the people there. He loved nature and being outdoors. He would say "I LIVED" and he enjoyed life.
