Jesse James Pipkin, age 85, departed this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Arlington, Texas. Jesse was born on March 17, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana at Confederate Memorial Hospital to Blanchard and Annie-Lois Wilson Pipkin.
Jesse retired after years of service in the Desoto Parish School District and was employed for many years at Beaird-Pouland. Jesse also served as a volunteer Fire Fighter for the local Fire Department for several years. Jesse was a loving husband, father and devoted community member. He had a special love for the outdoors. He was truly a humble servant, and was known for his strong work ethic. Most of all Jesse loved God. He was a devoted member and deacon at Good Hope Baptist Church in Keatchie, Louisiana.
Jesse was preceded in death by his daughters Helen Marshall and Christine Hill-Kocsis.
Jesse is survived by his brother, James "Rookie" Pipkin; children, Alvetta Simpson, Stanley Pipkin, Lisa Branch-Pipkin, Ricky Gipson, Wanda Billingsly, Alfreda Acheompong, Regina Baylor, Gloria Ford, Easter Baylor, Rita Hudson, and Ron Baylor. Also left to cherish his memory are 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Jesse also leaves behind a host of loving friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He will be missed by all who loved him and will never be forgotten.
