Jesse Sherman Allen, 83 of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on June 22, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on December 18, 1938, in Jena, Louisiana to Hugh Hamilton Allen and Lilly Amanda Sanders Allen. Mr. Allen was a life long member of King's Temple United Pentecostal Church. He was an avid LSU fan.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 26th, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at King's Temple United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at King's Temple United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Carey Pitts and Reverend John Berry officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 at Nebo Cemetery.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents: Hugh Hamilton Allen and Lilly Amanda Sanders Allen
His sisters: Nettie Smith, Audie Hailey, Ella Bradford, Lettie Windham, and Lena Hudspeth
His bothers: James Allen, Arthur Allen, Reverend Ross Allen, Tucker Allen, Wayne Allen, Donald Allen, and Glen Allen.
He is survived by is sons and daughters-in-law:
Jesse Hugh Allen and wife Lori of Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Clifton Dee Allen and wife Kelly of Shreveport, Louisiana
Grandchildren: Jesse Hugh Allen, Jr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Zachery Tyler Allen and wife Devin of Wiggins, Mississippi
Kirby Allen Wendt and husband Joey of Shreveport, Louisiana
Kendall Dee Allen of Stonewall, Louisiana
Great-grandchildren:
Annabelle Lee Allen, Elizabeth Diane Allen, and Penny Joyce Wendt.
Sister: Margaret Chevallier
Sister-in-law: Betty Allen
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Mr. Allen’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in Mr. Allen's name to King's Temple United Pentecostal Church building fund.
