Shreveport, LA- Graveside services celebrating the life of Jack Dalton Hatcher, 67, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Jack was born on December 26, 1944 in Austin, TX and passed away on January 30, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. He was a very loving husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. His family will always remember him for his easy going, kind and compassionate ways. Mr. Hatcher was a fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed playing darts, but more importantly enjoyed the comradery of the game. Jack served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant and was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran who received commendations up to and including the Bronze Star.
Preceding Mr. Hatcher in death was his father, L.J. Hatcher; wife, Marilyn Hatcher and maternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Willis.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Jack are his mother, Syble Hatcher of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Rebecca Bolda and husband Gary of Shreveport, LA and Ashley Bell and husband Jeffrey of Richmond, TX; step-daughters, Lynnie Alfred Terry and Brenda Antee Viselli; brother, Don Hatcher and wife Carol of Heath, TX; grandchildren, Jacob Bolda, Trevor Brown, Joshua Bell and Ashley F. Bell; niece, Jill Mahan and husband Travis and great nieces, Avery, Piper, Karsen and Emery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in Jack Hatcher’s honor to the American Nephrology Nurses Association, P.O. Box 38062, Shreveport, LA 71133.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: C.H.S. Dart Team, his grandsons, brother and son-in-laws.
