George W. Johnson was born February 14, 1939 in Evans, LA. He went to be with his Lord March 2, 2018 at his home.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 2:00 PM at Plunkaway Cemetery, Evans, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Rusty Hall. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 10 until 11 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ellie Johnson; brothers, Millard Johnson, Marvin Johnson, and Willard Johnson; his sisters, Evelyn Johnson Bledsoe and Madeline Johnson Self; a granddaughter, Jessica Johnson; nephews, Keith Cox and Ronald Johnson; and a great niece, Lindsey Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Johnson; his children, Delwin Johnson and wife Joani, Randall Johnson, Lisa Bowlin and husband Danny; grandchildren Stefanie Doggett and husband Mick of Joaquin, TX, Brook Cox and husband Adam of Benton, LA, Taylor Johnson, of Nacogdoches, TX, Lance Johnson of Bronson, TX, Brooke Hutchinson and husband Ryan of Shreveport, LA, Stacey Longino and husband Paul of Humble, TX, and Katie Bowlin of Benton, LA; great-grandchildren, Tanor, Morgan, and Finlee Dogett, Calyn, Covee, and Cline Cox, Rylee Longino, Noah, Liam, and Jude Hutchinson; a sister, Christine Laney; a brother, Henry Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews; and friends.
