Gary was born on May 16th, 1959 at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, LA to Lonnie and Shawnee Crumpton. He graduated from Provencal High School in 1977 as a star basketball player and with honors.
Immediately following graduation he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for 6 years while stationed in Montana, Alaska, Virginia, and Florida as an Aerospace Warning System Technician.
Upon leaving the Air Force, Gary, no stranger to hard work, obtained his Business Administration degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA while working full time at ConAgra.
Gary worked as a financial advisor after obtaining training at the World Trade Center in NY for Dean Witter. Gary was self-employed with a Little Debbie franchise in Shreveport, LA, and was also a Regional Manager with various linen companies in Shreveport, LA, and all the while ran his own full-service landscaping business.
Gary is survived by two daughters and their families, Tamara Skeuse, son-in-law, Tom, and grandson, Declan of Dallas, TX; and Cherilyn Crumpton, grandson, Owen, and granddaughter, Ophelia of Shreveport, LA. He was the middle child and survived by his older brother, Lonnie "Buddy" Crumpton, and his wife, Sandra in Las Vegas, NV; and his younger sister, Cindy Stephenson, and her husband, Jim, of Frisco, TX.
Gary's parents, who he dearly missed, are having a joyful and heavenly reunion along with many other relatives who, like Gary, left us too soon, namely his nephew Lee Crumpton of Blairsville, Georgia, and his Aunt Maxine Riedel of Dolton, IL.
Gary was an avid sports fan for college football, NASCAR, and golf. He will be greatly missed by so many relatives and friends.
