Dorothy (Dot) Kennedy Ballard

Dorothy (Dot) Kennedy Ballard was born November 27, 1925 in Shreveport, her parents were Paul Cecil and Hazel Stinnett Kennedy. She went to be with her Lord February 15, 2020 in Shreveport. Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James G. Ballard and her parents. She is survived by her God son, Matthew Ballard Johnson and his wife Raine, several other relatives and many friends.

Dot worked for several years as a bookkeeper, her last employer was United Engines, She and her husband enjoyed traveling and made trips to Hot Springs, the South Texas Valley and often to Mexico. Dot was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church and had many friends there.

A service celebrating the life of Dorothy (Dot) Kennedy Ballard will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck McInturf. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Barbara Walker for her excellent care of Dot.
