Don Ray Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. He was born in Hughes Springs, Texas to the late Rufus William" Willie" Smith, who was also a war-time veteran of WWII and the late Sarah Bess Smith.
Don honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He graduated from LSU with a masters degree in Business. He worked for many years as a safety Engineer. Don enjoyed any Lake activity but he loved to fish. Most of all he loved his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Angie A. Smith; sons, Wyatt R. Smith, Travis W. Smith and Clinton R. Smith; grandchild, Adrian A. Smith, all of Bossier City, LA; sister, Nita Smith Alexander of Dangerfield, TX and Cathy Smith Alexander of Tyler, TX; brother, Glynn Smith of Hughes Springs, TX and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
