Denver Norman Clark Sr., a longtime resident of Haughton, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2024 surrounded by his family at the age of 82. He was born January 4, 1942 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to the late Melvin Logan and Ethel Clark.
Denver was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, dad and papaw. He retired after 20 years of dedication to the United States Air Force, where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his honorable service, he bravely served in Vietnam, where he demonstrated courage and commitment to his country.
Denver never met a stranger or someone he did not like. Whether through lending a helping hand to people in need, or simply sharing a smile and a song, he touched countless lives with his generosity and compassion. Denver loved his God, his family and his country, in that order. He was an avid music lover and would play his guitar for everyone but especially his Lord. He took great pride in his home and had a passion for making improvements. He always strived to make his home better whether it was landscaping projects, repairs or renovations.
Denver will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who were inspired by his passion, generosity and unwavering faith. Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy will live on in the countless memories of laughter and love.
Left to cherish his memory are, the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Mary Florence Little Clark; children, Denver Clark Jr. (Ruby Clark), Gladys Jo "Jo-Jo" Ringgold (Mike Ringgold), and John Christopher "Koru" Clark (Elci Ryan); grandchildren, Kristyna Vay Clark, Cana Naomi Clark, Denver Norman "Trey" Clark, III, Mary Kathryn Ober, Samuel Otis Duffy and Christian Grace Champagne; great grandchildren, Aaron Ober, Simon Ober, Samantha Ober, Brandon Barnett, Zoey Barnett, McKinley Head, Cadence Turner and Allyson Cutrer; along with his brothers, numerous extended family members and countless friends.
