Christy Gale Mckenney

Celebration of Life services for Christy Gale McKenney, 33, will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011, in Centuries Memorial Chapel with Pastor Doyce Smith and Bro. H.L. Kindrick of Oakmont Church of God officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from the hours of 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Christy Gale Mckenney was born December 20, 1977, to John Earnest McKenney and Jannette Keen Goldston in Shreveport, Louisiana and was at her residence surrounded by family when called to her heavenly home October 7, 2011, after a fully lived life with cerebral palsy. Christy was an inspiration to those her knew her.

Christy was preceded in death by her foster sister; Amanda Walker.

Left to cherish Christy's precious memories will be her parents; Jannette (Jeanie) Keen and Ernest Goldston Jr., one sister; Johanna Annora McKenney Keillor and husband Ricky, one niece; Darby Annora Waston, two nephews; Eric Gaylon McKenney and Rowan Patrick Keillor, grandparents; Iva and Johnny Keen, along with a number of extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Honoring Christy as pallbearers will be David Keen, Melvin Ray Keen, Jack Keen, James Keen, Jason McGee, and Brad McGee.
