Charlie Wayne Smith

Services will be held Saturday November 5th, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Mansfield Rd. Visitation will be held Friday November 4th, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at funeral home.

Chuck lived in Bossier City after retiring from the state of Texas. He was a veteran, following service in United States Air Force. Chuck was a faithful member of Broadmoor Methodist Church and in the Upper Room Sunday School class. He leaves behind close friends from his church family.

He was preceded in death by his is father, Charlie Henry Smith; mother, Gella Smith Parsons; sister, Rae Smith Yelvington.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lavon; step-son, Mike Pruitt and wife Rhonda; granddaughters, Charlotte Dew and husband Levi, and Cady Pruitt; daughter, Dena Leigh Berg and husband Eric; grandsons, Griffin and Jake Berg; niece, Sharon and husband Bob Lindsay.

Family would like to thank the staff of Willis-Knighton for great care and compassion during Chuck’s time at their facility.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
