Bernard Lee Rose was born on April 6, 1943, to Everett Jackson and Ogle Jeanette Rose in St. Charles, Virginia. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 12, 2022, after a period of declining health. He was 79.
After becoming a draftsman and a tool & die maker, Bernard became an engineer. Over the next 40 years, Bernard become a lead engineer with AVAYA, and won numerous awards of excellence during his career.
Bernard is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Rose; a daughter, Deborah Rose Francis (Rick) of White House, TN; a son, Stephen Rose (Michelle) of Dayton, NV; 3 grandchildren, Payten Rose Holiday (Cory), Logan Francis, and Haley Rose, 1 great-grandchild, Abigail Holiday. He is also survived by one sister, Phyllis Pruett (Donnie) of Noblesville, IN, along with many other relatives and a host of friends, including his King’s Temple family.
A service celebrating the life of Bernard Rose will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at King’s Temple United Pentecostal Church, where Bernard was a member for 38 years. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until noon.
