Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on February 5, 1950, Adrian graduated from Herndon High School. She furthered her education by earning an Associate degree in Retail Management from Commercial College.
Adrian dedicated 18 years of her life to Walgreens, where she exhibited unwavering commitment and professionalism until her retirement in 2018.
Outside of her professional life, she was a devoted fan of sports, particularly rooting for Baylor University, Alabama, and the Dallas Cowboys. She found joy in playing bingo and indulging in cooking shows during her free time.
Her spiritual journey began in her childhood as a Methodist, and she was later baptized at St. Rest Baptist Church in 1982 by Rev. John B. Simmons. She continued her spiritual path by joining Lake Zion Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor James T. Sims. At the time of her transition, she was a devoted member of Samuel Chapel Baptist Church, where her son, J.A. Demery Jr., serves as pastor.
Adrian is survived by her children Anthony Griffin, Shamita Henderson (Larry), James Demery Jr. (Tamara), Lennie Johnson, her sisters Debra Alphard and Penny Hamilton, her grandchildren Quontavius, Jessica, Nicholas, Dominique, Anaiya, Hayla, her great grandchild Jariyah, and best friend Lillie Adger.
Adrian was preceded in death by her daughter Trinetta Griffin; her mother Mattie Mae Conner; her brothers Luther Conner III, Delbert Conner, Jeffrey Conner, Joseph Conner; her sisters Patricia Russell and Nannette Evans; her grandmother Linne Mae Thomas.
Her legacy of hard work, dedication, and faith will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
