Kenneth was born February 25, 1924 in Sheboygan to Robert and Emma Schmahl.
On June 17, 1950 Kenneth and Lora V. Perronne were united in marriage in Sheboygan Falls.
For the majority of his working years Kenneth was employed as a semi-truck driver for Russell Transfer, retiring in 1981. After retirement Kenneth and Lora moved to Phoenix and lived there until 2009 when they returned to this area.
Kenneth was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan and held season tickets since the 1950’s. In his younger years he was active in sports, especially baseball, softball, and bowling.
In addition to his wife, Lora, he is survived by two sons, Randall Schmahl of Plymouth and Michael (Diane) Schmahl of Sheboygan; one grandson, Brett (Kerrie) Schmahl of Sheboygan; two great-grandsons, Mason and Aidan Schmahl; one brother, Donald (Jeanne) Schmahl of Sheboygan; one sister, Carol Hecker of Random Lake; two additional sisters-in-law, Delores Schmahl and JoAnn Schmahl both of Sheboygan; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin, Leroy, and Elwood; his sister, Pearl Schetter, and one sister-in-law, Alverda Schmahl.
A memorial gathering in celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Ballhorn Chapels on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
