Rose Marie Blackwell was born on March 27, 1934 to Rachel Fleming Cress and raised by her mother and loving father, Paul Cress. When working for Anderson Prichard Oil Company, she met Airmen, Kenneth Blackwell and married on Feb. 22, 1957. Together they shared a beautifully long and happy marriage with their four children, Lisa Blackwell Kerley, Douglas Blackwell, Keith Blackwell, and Suzanne Blackwell. They spent all their happy years taking many family vacations seeing the country together, making memories with family/extended family playing dominos and poker on the weekends, learning from each other, and growing in love. They settled into their home in Bethel Acres, OK that the family built together in 1979 and stood strong until the May 19, 2013 tornado.
Rose Marie was present inside and survived without any injury. She was spirited and fearless. Her lifelong love and partner, Kenneth, passed away in 2000 and proceeds her in death along with her mother, father, brother Ray Fleming, sister Wilma Fleming, and Delores "Deedee" Fleming, and is survived by all of her loving family who will miss her immensely: her four children, her grandchildren Tara Blackwell, Jocelyn Blackwell West, Kenneth Caleb Blackwell Kerley, Aidan Blackwell Kerley, great granddaughter Molly West, brother Leon Fleming, and all her loving extended family. She passed peacefully in the arms of all her family on August 2, 2022
