Patricia Joan Barnhart

Funeral service for Patricia Joan (McCormack) Barnhart, 77, of Earlsboro, OK, will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Travis Hurst, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 4 – 6 pm on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Patricia was born November 12, 1936 in Okemah, OK, to Oscar Lee and Juanita Nellie (Caldwell) McCormack.She married Johnny Richard Barnhart on November 5, 1952, in Tecumseh, OK. She enjoyed cooking and loved making people happy with her wonderful meals.She was a homemaker, wife and mother first and worked as an insurance specialist for numerous doctors in Seminole and Shawnee area.Her greatest achievement was her 50th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Johnny in 2002. She was most fulfilled by her ability to help others in their time of need. She was the one that friends and family all went to when they needed counseling advice, scripture, and prayer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny of 51 years; her parents: two brothers: Jerry Kegley, Earlsboro, OK and Donald McCormack, Shawnee, OK ; and one sister: Wanda Treat, Earlsboro, OK.

She is survived by three children: Marketta Barnhart Little, Earlsboro, OK, Johnny and Terry Barnhart, Mt. Joliet, TN and Joe Don Barnhart, Shawnee, OK; 9 grandchildren: Allyson and Sam Marsh, Shawnee, Heath Honsinger and Brandy Spoon, Tecumseh OK, Nathaniel and BritneyHonsinger, Shawnee, Courtney Barnhart, Jordan Barnhart, Sarah Barnhart, and Jared Barnhart, all of Mt. Joliet, TN, Kyle Barnhart, Shawnee, and Emily Barnhart, Dallas, TX; 10 great grandchildren; one brother: Johnny Wayne Hartman, Eufaula, OK; one sister: Mary Kegley Kieffer, Shawnee, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
